I have been wishing that we could get parks picture taken by a professional so that we would have some nice pictures to hang on the wall...but with our budget that is out of the question. So I thought to myself..."photography can't be all that hard." So I took things into my own hands and I called my AWESOME MOM who happens to own an awesome camera. We spent an half hour in Nanny's backyard and snapped some pictures. They turned out wonderful...but not quite professional. So then I turned to my trusted photoshop...and after a little researching I found some new tricks. Each of these photos took literally 30 seconds to enhance! So maybe they aren't quite "professional" they are perfect for my walls and I am SOOOO excited. I am also craving a new camera. After playing with mom's camera and reading up on how to use all the settings...I want one of my own. Tyson said if I save all of my pennies...than maybe one day I can get one :-) Thank's mom and nanny for your help!

Parks is going up so fast! He is almost walking! He can pull himself up and walk around a coffee table and he can stand for a few seconds on his own.

Before we know it he will just take off.

No he didn't stay like this the whole nap. Parks wanted to sit by himself so Tyson rocked the chair until he fell asleep.

Fun Shower Curtain

I have been trying to find ways to spice up my apartment for well...free. So I started with the bathroom. We have had a plain clear shower curtain that needed a little life. So I dug through my fabric and found this big piece of cream. It had a few spots but with a little creativity and clearance fabric from wal-mart this is what was created...

The flower is not quite all sewn on...I ran out of iron on stuff but after my run to joanns today it will be done!

You can't even see the stain after I put on the stripe.

To make the flower I cut the different shapes out. ( I only bought 5 to 10 inches of each fabric and it was plenty to do the curtain and now I have more scraps for my next project.) Then I cut out iron on stuff (I think it is called wonder-under) to fit each piece and pinned them into place. Once I had it looking just like I wanted I ironed them down and sewed them into place.

I even had enough fabric to make the hangers and then added buttons! It was so easy and fun to make!

May has been wet, but it has still been fun! Parks is getting very big. He went to the doctor and he is growing like a weed. He is 14 lbs 7 oz. So almost double his birth weight. We have been spending as much time outdoors as we can (which isn't much) but we watched Grandma, Grandpa and Kaiden garden and roasted marshmallows. Kaiden taught Parks all about bugs and worms and even let him touch a worm...how nice is he....
I had to snap this picture of Parks and Grandpa Irwin, they are both so intently watching the TV. Grandpa is trying to teach him about basketball.

Kaiden was trying to show me his worm, but I think it fell off.

Parks loves his wrap and his shades. He wanted to help us clean so dad strapped him to

front and they cleaned together. Parks even helped vacuum and wasn't scared at all this time!

Nummy Cereal! But he wasn't feeling to well so he only ate a few bites.

We had a break in the rain the other day so we went on a walk to the park.
My sewing projects lately have been these little ribbon blankets. Parks loves the one aunt Morgan made him. So I have made these for some baby showers I have been going to. They are easy and made completely out of scraps...which means they are pretty much FREE! They were a hit. I also made the bib that Parks is wearing out if scraps. We decided to try him on some rice cereal hoping it would help him sleep through the night again. He wanted to eat it, but ended up not feeling well so we will try it again another day when he is feeling better.

I become more and more grateful to be a mom. Parks digs deeper and deeper into our hearts every day. I can't believe how big he has become! But with the size comes more personality. It is so much fun to have him smiling and laughing. LOVE IT! He has figured out that camera=cheese it. We had a few "Photo Shoots" this week. Some in his blessing outfit, and some with his Irwin cousins, and both times he cheesed it up for the cameras...well until he decided that a hundred pictures was enough.

He is also so much more aware. His eyes show how much he is taking in. It is like you can see the gears in his little brain just a turning as he is watching something new. Like when his Aunt Kenzie brought home baby ducks on Easter. He was enthralled! The same when we introduced him to grass. It is incredible to watch.I know that this won't end any time soon.

So the last few weeks have been a lot of fun. Enjoy the pictures:

Summer Fun!

Two summers ago my roommate Helen and I made a Summer Fun To-Do List. We wrote down EVERYTHING we wanted to do that summer and made a goal to accomplish it all. We had over a hundred things on our list and by the end of our summer we had done all but 3. It made our summer exciting and full of adventures. I always makes big plans for the summer, but when I have nothing to do I can never remember the things I wanted to do. When ever Helen and I wanted to do something we would just look at the list and pick one. It was also a constant reminder on our wall that there are so many better things to do than to sit inside and watch movies (we didn't have TV or we would have been doing that). It ended up not only being a list for the two of us, but all of our friends joined in and helped us finish it. People would stop by our apt. and ask what we were doing off the list that day. Needless to say we had an amazing summer! I decided to try it out again this year and make the Irwin Summer Fun List. A few things are only for Tyson and I (motorcycle, temple...). But most of them are for all three of us. It is going to be the best summer ever! I ran out of room on this poster, I already have eleven more things to add to the list. It looks like I'll need to whip our another poster board and my Mr. Sketch markers and keep going. We are open for more ideas also! What do your

I realized that there are so many pictures that I haven't posted lately. So to start we have Parks with his two Irwin Cousins: Kaiden and Issac. This was taken after Parks blessing. Second is a picture of Parks with Issac just a few days after Issac was born. I couldn't believe how BIG he was compared to little Issac. They weighed about the same when they were born. It is hard to remember Parks ever being so little. WOW, they grow so fast!
Third is a picture taken during conference weekend at Nanny's house. I just thought that it was a cute picture.
The next one is on our outting the other day. It was BEAUTIFUL so Parks and I decided to try out our snazy new stroller and go visit daddy on campus. It was the first time Parks has ever really seen the outside. It was WONDERFUL!
The next three pictures are at Grandma Raine's house. I asked her to help me give Parks a bath. You see he HATES his bath (at least when mom gives it to him) I thought maybe I could learn a thing or two from her to make it more enjoyable for Parks. Well I did learn a LOT, and Parks liked grandma's bath...but he still doesn't like when I give him one (even with the new tricks)...maybe it's the grandma's touch that makes it better? Who knows...
On that same day we also introduced Parks to Sis, grandma's bum lamb. As you can see he wasn't quite sure what to think.
Last is the wonderful BUMBO chair. Great purchase. He likes it for a minute until his neck gets tired. So in time he will like it even more. It works great to help mom cook in the kitchen.

Parker and I have been on an adventure lately. We are trying new recipes. For anyone that knows me well they know I am not the best cook (at all) but practice makes perfect right? So we have been spending a lot of time in our new kitchen. Parks loves to help. We turn up music and dance and sing. He thinks it's quite funny. By the time it's mixed he is fast asleep and I can get things in the oven and clean up really quick. The other day we tried out Gluten Free French Bread. It was GREAT! Following 3 are new pictures so you can see how big he is! He changes every day and is now fitting in 3-6 month clothes! Last is a picture of his new pass time...SMILING! I LOVE IT! He is changing so fast. Sometimes I feel that if I blink I'll miss something.

One of the great things I've discovered about starting a new family is making our own traditions. When I lived with my aunt and uncle I got to share in some of their holiday traditions. Every Halloween, after trick-or-treating, they eat dinner out of a pumpkin. It tastes great and is a lot of fun. I loved this one so much that I wanted to continue it with my family. Usually you scoop yucky pumpkin guts out of the center, not yummy ground beef. Tyson and I took this tradition to Tremonton to share with my family. It was fun to have the kids around and see everyone. Tyson wants to try a different casserole ever year and see what tastes best baked in a pumpkin. Mark this one up as our newest family tradition. Thank you for coming everyone! It was a lot of fun!

Here are my real ultrasound pictures from my 10 week appointment. When my father-in-law Scott saw the second picture he held it up and, while maneuvering it in the air, made motorcycle sounds. He is already proud of his grandchild being a motorcycle baby(since it looks like it is wearing a motorcycle helmet). Today we went to our 14 week appointment and things look great. I have my ultrasound appointment where we will discover the gender scheduled for Sept 14. So lets bring the bets in...what do you thing I am having?

So today, for the first time, I was able to see the never ending sea of blue and it was incredible! We headed straight to Santa Cruse last night. As we walked the board walk I felt as though I was child. I was enthralled by all of the people, sights, and the never ending sea of blue. I have realized, once again, how sheltered life has been for me in northern Utah. Welcome to the real world Brittney! It has been wonderful though. The Ocean is mysterious and incredible. The way the water can move with so much strength, out of no where momentum builds capturing water along its way. Before you know it a wave is crashing after you. Then just as quickly it is being dragged back into the depth of the sea with just as much force. We had a BLAST!

Most of you have already heard...but yes we are having a baby! If you didn't figure out that my name isn't Alice Howard than take a closer look at the ultrasound...this isn't reallt my ultrasound because my scanner isn't working. (I figure all babys look pretty much the same at this point.) I will try to get the real picture up. Tyson was so excited because it looks like it is wearing a motorcycle helmet!

The baby is due Jan 29. We are really excited and ready for this crazy, fun, hard, wonderful adventure. Love ya all!

So we had quite the adventure to Colorado. It had it's own twist of beautiful. We went for Nick's (Tyson's best friend) wedding. Tyson's little sister kenzie came along with us. We spent time hiking, shoping, shooting, exploring the opening day of Cabelas and playing at the wedding. Durring the wedding had my eyes opened to life outside of Utah. I am now very grateful for my innocent youth. But the best part about the trip had to be the RV we got to stay in. I could have lived in this thing forever! Nick's parents let us stay in it during our stay. It was even equipted with a washer. What hospitality. Thanks Kettle Family!

Easter with the Selmans

Eating, playing, eating, and playing describes the day we had with the Selman Family for Easter. It was a great day. We started out with breakfast, a HUGE egg dying party and then the famous Irwin homemade Pizza. Tyson acted as our chef and did an amazing job. Along the way I was attacked with tickles by the little ones and Gaga had more than one dog-pile on him. It was a fun Easter with all of the little kids around, and my very own husband to bring.

The Irwin family has a long tradition of "The Easter Hunt" Now this isn't a hunt of a few boiled eggs, this is a hunt of over 700 plastic eggs each filled with candy or money. Each person fends for themselves. When you run with these folks there is mo mercy, elbows are flying and people are pushing. It is quite the thrill. In the end we all ended up with piles of candy and eggs. And a Crazy amount of candy. It was a lot of fun. We followed the egg hunt with coloring a few eggs, experimenting with gluten free cooking, and ended with a fire and hobo dinners. As you can tell Tyson and I had a lot of fun with the fire. He says that he can't grow facial hair so I thought I would help him out and give him a five o'clock shadow so he wouldn't feel so left out. I got a uni-brow and a mustache. It was a great day!

Isn't life incredible? When the semester ended I thought that life would slow down a little bit....but guess again. Between picking up extra shifts at work, dating, family, more dating, more family, and more work I only find a few seconds to take some time for myself. But in that time I have been able to work on running for national FFA office. I have found a wonderful women named Cindy Parry to help me be professional and elegant. We have barely started but it has been amazing and has re-ignited in me an excitement to run.

Fall has been as wonderful as usual. For those of you who don't know I am a sucker for fall. I love the weather, the holidays, and most of all the leaves. I have a fascination with colored leaves. I love to look at them, dray them, play in them, and crunch them under my feet. So even though work and school are keeping me busy I have been having the time of my life. My favorite part of the day is to walk through campus. It is BEAUTIFUL! I love USU! The other day while my roommates and Jake were gone for the weekend I found time to go up to my favorite part of campus above the amphitheater and start a painting. It is in the very first stages of life...but it was fun to get my paints out. People would come over and look at it and tell me how good it was. I laughed because at this point it looks like a child's finger painitng...but I was greatful for the compliment. It has been a fun few weeks...The pictures tell it all!

Fall is a wonderful season. School is hitting hard but there is still time for playing. I got to go to Firghmares are Lagoon with Jake and part of his family. One of the spookers had an awkward interest in me. I wasn't scared of him. He just walked up and go about three inches away from my nose and stared for about three minutes. I started to talk to him. He wouldn't answer me. I told him I wasn't scared and just kept staring back. After a few minutes it made both Jake and I uncomfortable so I steped away to take a picture with him...yet he wouldn't quit staring. Finally we just kind of walked away. I had had enough of him.
Pictured next is my beautiful and amazing mother who has taught me everything I know! She made applesuace all day and I got to help her finish.
Last but not least, my roomates and I tie-dyed! It was a lot of fun. Helen is very good at it. We did have one of the bottles shoot blue dye everywhere in our kitchen. Luckily Helen was a quick thinker and we got it all off with no noticable marks.

So I was set to work a crazy saturday...but alas it is the slowest day at work I think i have evre had. This is wonderful, accept for the fact that I forgot to bring my home work. So instead I will blog. Nothing much has happened since the last time I wrote. I am just going to school and working. I went to Tremonton yesterday was wonderful! I loved going with mom and dad to check the rams. I can't believe how much I miss those things. I have been in Logan too long...but I have a while more to go. I have realized that I have an amazing family. My roommates agree. After meeting everyone they told me how wonderful everyone is. Thank you for being such a great family!

Last days of Summer....

I don't know how I am so blessed. I had a wonderful birthday. My sisters and grandparents treated me to a wonderful dinner at the first of the week, and at the end of the week my friends threw me a surprise party with a pinata and a gigantic gluten free cake! I am surrounded by the best people in the world. I also go to the best university on earth! Where else would there be tractors everywhere you look on campus?! I love being able to walk around and see tractors. Maddison and I enjoyed the last bit of sun and took pictures of the tractors during our break. The pictures of the tractors was yesterday. Please note I am wearing shorts...and today it is snowing. I am sitting in the library and it is snowing pretty hard. I had to don my winter clothing today. Oh good old Logan.

The last moments of summer have counted down. We ended it with a blast at Bear Lake. Helen Sasha and I has a girls day where we splashed, metal detected, explored, and flew kites. After a wonderful afternoon at the lake we spent the evening at the Pickleville Playhouse. It was a wonderful day full of fun and NO BOYS!
Since then school has started...but the fun hasn't ended. As you can see we are moving our summer fun indoors. Yes that is a tent in our front room. This started as a joke...but ended up staying there all week. We watched movies in it, and even slept in it.
School is wonderful, and life is even better! I love my roommates! Where would I be without Helen? There ya go a little more of my life

Fun, sweet, quite a party, and now my favorite activity....spoon me. :-)

It's the best ice cream place I have been to...it is comparable to Cold Stone. Defiantly not as many choices as Cold Stone, but very delicious. This little retro frozen yogurt parlor is absolutely adorable. My roomates, and a few friends partied it up tonight with a little yogurt. It has been a great week. I feel like I haven't done as much this week because I have been working a lot of late nights. We also practiced cooking Dutch Oven with the guys to get ready for our Dutch Oven Cook Off on Saturday. Everyone better watch out becasue we are going to win!

When I started to work 40 hours people told me I wouldn't have a lot of time to do things...but I would beg to differ. I have had an amazing summer that has been filled with fun, friends, sunshine...and really just random. I have met amazing people and I am learning so much about myself. My roommate Helen (who I absolutely love!) and I created a list before the summer started. It is our "Summer Fun To-Do List" We have started to check things off... by the end of the summer we are determined to be done with everything. So now that I have showed you my new house I thought I would show you my new job...pretty much my home away from home. I am there more than I am home. I work in the Internal pharmacy at the hospital as a Pharmacy Tech. It has been a lot of fun and I love the people I work with. Sometimes I get frustrated because there is so much to remember...but that comes with any job. As you can see I am surrounded by drugs all day. :-) Sometimes I find myself sitting at home and the thoughts running through my mind are a list of drug names....odd I know.

So I have now spent about a month in my new apartment (pictured above...somewhat clean) and I LOVE IT! I have had a wonderful time with my roommates. I have been loving work and the summer social life. This summer has been crazy busy so far...but what's new. I wouldn't have it any other way. My roommate Hellen and I have a list called, "summer fun!" this list has TONS of things to keep us busy with this summer. We have started to cross things off. What an adventure we are having this summer! Next week I am headed to New Mexico with Megan and Chase! Life here I come!

A Life Changing Month

So within 6 weeks my life will have completely changed! Every aspect of my life as I have known will have gone away (that is all but my family and faith...the two very most important things). People who know me know that I have a hard time with change...:-) but such is life and I get over it and move on. This week convention is coming and I get to spend three days with 1100 FFA members. Wow what a feeling. I can't even comprehend what I am about to do. I have dreamed of this for years...and now it is happening. Thank you to everyone that hepled me fulfill this goal of mine...especially my syblings. It has been the ride of my life and I have enjoyed every moment. But alas it is time to let it go. Lately I have found myself down and pouting about all the changes in my life. I feel lost and I have no idea where I am going or what the Lord has planned for me. But then I realized that with that attitude I am not going to get far no matter what the Lord gives me. So I am holding onto the excitement of the adventures to come. I plan on making this summer even more exciting than all of my travels last summer. Lets see what I can do with my life next and what I can learn! Though I hate change, I love the learning process and the feeling that comes with it. What an adventure every new turn in life is! So what's next....I dunno, all I know is life has never been boring for me and by darn it, it isn't going to start now.

A team for a year...a family for a lifetime. We have one and a half months left as a team. After that I don't know what life will bring, but it is exciting to think about! I need everyone's opinion. I get to choose one of these team pictures to put on my RA slide show. What one do you like best. It can be funny or serious. I can't decide at all. I like them all.
I haven't seem anyone for quite a while. This mono has really put me out, but I think I am on the up side. After a blessing from Dad, snuggles with Mom, and not to mention being able to spend and evening with Rowdy... I think it did the cure. I am feeling so much better this morning.

So I think I have found a new talent....HOCKEY! Now Rowdy may tell you different, but I would have to say that I rock at hockey:-) At Shoeman park, just around the corner from Rowdy's house, they have created an ice rink in the baseball field. The other night Rowdy and I tried out our hockey skills against each other. We grabbed his sticks, a water bottle, and our snow boots. Half of the rink was smooth and had cute couples skating around holding hands...and the other half was ours. It had a layer of snow on top to help our boots get tracktion...well at least most of the time. The game was on. It was a close intense game, and when I say close it means I was within a thousand points of Rowdy, but still it was intense. Ha ha it was a lot of fun. So maybe it's not quite a talent. I am sure we were the funniest to watch, yelling and cheering and slipping all over the place. We would smack talk each other than give each other huggs. It was an entertaining night for all around.

Winter Bliss

Winter bliss is upon us. What at first seems like a wet, cold, nusense can turn into days of fun. From making snow angels with Matt, building a snow man with Mitch, and tubing with the Pali family I have enjoyed the snow and now even hope for it to come. Thank you Mitch, Morgan, Matt, and Maddy for a wonderful winter break so far. I love you. Merry Christmas everyone!

Family...isn't it about time?

I have known this my entire life, but this weekend has reminded me of the fact that I have been blessed the most amazing family in the world. Yes we have our moments when our heaven on earth is disrupted by glimpses or worldly problems...but what can we do, we definably aren't perfect even though we try our hardest to be so. I am sitting here with a moment of quiet, all alone, to think about the last few days. I had forgot everything I have been missing since I have been away to school... cooking with Matt, holding baby Maddy, playing with Garrison, being teased by Mitch, Dave, and Justin, and talking to Laurel, Alashandra, Tanya, and Morgan. I have been submerged in a life of school and FFA and forgot how wonderful family was. I have been too busy to really enjoy it all. It is so easy to get wrapped up in life. So thank you to all of my family for being so wonderful and taking care of your little sister. I have a hard time with change (like all of us Selman girls do) and it is hard to see everyone moving on in their own lives and families. But it is fun and exciting too! Here's my recepie for a wonderful thanksgiving: Start off with a few days of cooking with little Matt, Maddy, and Morgan and making a HUGE mess in her kitchen.

Add in a morning of trap shooting with the Eliason boys (but please note that the girls were on fire) and a HUGE dinner at Nanny and Papa's house. That makes for the best thanksgiving. Then top it all off with a new nephew and it has been a wonderful week so far.

So as FHE mom it was my obligation to attend the steak square dancing FHE. (even thought I only stayed for a minute) But of course I had to go in style. Once again, my ever enduring friend, Mary was willing to jump in along side me. Dressed up in my best cowgirl duds we were ready to get our hee-haw groove on. Once there we changed our minds about the whole thing and didn't stay long. The best part about it all was the dressing up. (please note my pigtails. Mitch I knew you would like them!) After we left FHE look what I found at the craft store. I was in search of glue to hold my scriptures back together and look what I stumbled upon (or maybe went searching for). A jewelry making kit! I have had this odd tangent lately of making jewelry so I thought I would actually get a kit with the actual tools and enough beads for a necklace. I spent my mornig baking bread and thrading beads. It was alot of fun. What do you think sisters of mine? This whole jewelry tangent was inspired by the earings that Tanya got us all. Sp thank you. (Please note that the earings spiral a little bit!) I will have to bring them home for thanks giving and maybe we can make some more. Tanya I have some torquoise beads I think you would really like!

Guess what everyone! I am officially done with my classroom visits. It's bitter sweet. I will miss the presenting, but I am glad to have a little more time for myself. After my final visit on Thursday Chase and I met up and celebrated. We had both had visits in the Salt Lake area. We ate lunch and hit the outlet mall to find a birthday present for Megan and Amber. :-) Low and behold guess what we found! A bucking bull. We didn't wear our jackets in so no one would know we were with the FFA. We jumped on...a perfect picture moment. As we contunued to walk around the mall Chase and I started to play a game. We would walk into a store and pretend that we were engaded and shopping for things for our wedding or our new home. We would try to get the other one to laugh first. (For those of you who have seen the movie Charlie...same thing as what they do in the grocery store) The funniest experience was in the cooking store when we were looking at pans. We fought over everything. The clerk was trying his hardest to sell us something but we wouldn't agree with each other on anything and sounded like we hated each other. The man didn't catch on that we were playing a game. He went on and on. The little old ladies looked at us with pitty like they couldn't believe we were getting married. At moments we sounded like we hated each other. We contained or laughing until we jumped into the truck. It was one of those things that you had to be there...but trust me it was the funniest things I have seen for a long time.
I had a random urge the other night to color. Luckily I have great friends that take care of me. Rowdy came to my rescue. Soon two more jumped in on the game and we had a party. Please note the little girl by Rowdy's hand. I colored that one. This made me think of all of the times we sat around as kids and colored.
This morning I woke up and started making crepes and as always I had my best bud Saige right at my side. As we were getting done she got a big smile on her face and asked if we could bake cookies. I didn't have any plans and so why not. We turned up the music and jump into the biggest mess of our lives...and it was so much fun! We stirred and poured and danced around the kitchen together. By the time we had the cookies mixed the kitchen looked as if a blizzard had just passed through. Flour coated every open space...including us. I owe a special thanks to Morgan coming to my rescue every few minutes answering my silly little questions. Emily came over to play with us and join in on our mess. In the end we baked dozens of beautifully frosted cookies that I have heard taste fabulouse, I have to trust the oppinions of every one else. Tanya you should be proud of me I didn't sneek any bites! All in all it's been a good week.

Energy Givers...thats how I do it.

One of my friends, in regards to state office, stated, "I don't know how you do it." I have thought about this for a while. Then I was looking through my camera of pictures from this last week and it really hit me. This is why I can do it...

(Look at the pumpkin I carved! Yes I know I am an FFA nerd and proud of it!)

A smile crosses my face when I look at these pictures. I think of how many students I have got to know. It is so amazing how fast members will trust us as state officers and become our bestest friends. Sitting and carving pumpkins with the Provo and Timpanogus chapters I sat with three girls. They divulged all the drama in their high school l0ve lives. And then, like we had been friends forever, asked me questions and confided in me. Oh we laughed and played and they ended up in a war of the pumpkin guts.
This last week I completed 3 chapter visits! I had one of my very best ones and one of my hardest. I was really frustrated after the hard one. I had had no energy and just couldn't get very excited duing the classes. I realized something as we made the long drive home. A statement made by a motivational speaker I heard a few years ago came to me. He said that in life there are energy givers and energy suckers. Well some high school students can be energy suckers, kids that don't care about anything and lack ambition in life are just such kids. No matter how much enthusiasm I try to put out there they just suck it out of me making it almost impossible to get enthused. This particular chapter left me absolutly drained.But chapters that have students that are excited about life and have ambition are energy givers. As I am in these presentations I find myself with more energy and enthusiasm than I thought I ever had. These FFA members fuel me with energy. No matter how long the day has been they give me the energy that I need. Pictured is the Gunnison Chapter...They were amazing. We are in the middle of one of the activities in my work shop. (Yes that boys arm is taped to his back and yes I did that :-) he cheated...they can only use one arm)
I am so glad that most chapters are energy givers I can't wait for Utah Leadership Conference...300 energy givers! Wow I can only imagive the energy...oh I can't wait!

Happy Halloween

When I left my house Friday afternoon to head home for Halloween I was a little bumed out. A question hung in my mind, why I was heading home for Halloween instead of going to one of the biggest Halloween parties in the state...The Howl? I had a lot of excused to try to make myself feel better, but when it comes down to it I had that feeling that I needed to be home with my family.
Instead of hanging out with thousands of guys I got to hang out with my bestest bud...yup that's you Matt.
After an exciting Trick-or-Treating we went back to help move my sister.
I had the calling of entertaining Matt while the rest of the family hauled boxes into my sisters new house. (Being the youngest can really pay off in these kind of moments.) Look what we found! A pile of leaves! I was in heaven. I have wanted to play in leaves all fall and I finally found someone willing to dive in with me. Playing in leaves is not the same when your by yourself.

We are headed back to help today and who knows we might be able to make the pile of leaves even bigger! Mitch the saying you taught me when you joined our family has become my motto in life.
"Growing old is mandatory...but growing up is optional." It makes life more enjoyable! Thanks Mitch and Dave for teaching me that:-)

National FFA convention was amazing! From the 54000 members to my television interview with RFDTV it was quite the experience. I have returned home from this week changed. People don't realize how much one week can change a person. But going to national convention I have been able to re-focus my life and figure out where I am going. I don't know if it is all of the motivational speakers, the people I was able to get to know, or getting away from the drama and crazy college life, but this week really made me think.
So to get everything started our team participated in the Delegate Day of Service. We went about thirty minutes away and helped restore an old farm back to how it would have been during the depression. This wasn't any dinky little service project. We tore out a 100 year old fence and put in a new one. We were tearing down barns, taking off old wallpaper and re-roofing a barn. Blake and I teamed up to help with the fence. Him and I alone hauled every bag of concrete for the new fence. Yes thanks to the many years of hauling 50lb bags of sheep feed I was able to haul the 80 lb bags or concrete...but I will admit at the end I became more of a moral support for Blake because my arms gave out. We then joined with another 5 people and tore out the old and buried fence. We had to pound and dig and pull and cut...wwwweeehhh it was hard work. Then up with the new fence. Anyways it was a good day , one of those days where you are sore and tired at the end but it just feels good to have worked hard and done something useful. This is the man I was interviewed by on RFDTV. The people there were awesome they were asking if I had my camera and if I wanted pictures. My face looks fake because they plastered my face with make-up.

Wow what a view. The Colt's stadium packed with FFA members. We all moved from Consaco to here for the American Degree ceremony. I thought that this was a cool view of all of the members.

Ok this will be the last story I share...If I told you everything it would take an hour to read about it all.Let me set the scene for this picture. When: It's late or should I say early, about 12:30 am. Who: About 30 state officers representing the states of Utah, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Alaska, and Colorado. Where: Stake and Shake (Open all night and boy their shakes are to die for!!!)
This was our farewell party. We all met this summer at our national training for state officers. Since then we have become very good friends. The sad part is we don't know when we will see each other again.
So from the sessions to the people it was an amazing week.

Silly Girls... Tents are for Kids

Jamie and I are back together again. It's been two months since I came over here for school and only now are Jamie and I doing something together. We had ourselves a girls night. No make up, no hair done, lots of junk food, and a sappy love movie. After a quick run to Smiths for some junk food we were on our way. We started out with watching the Office and then moved on to watching the Notebook on TV. Then came the messy pumpkin carving and last but not least we constructed ourselves a fort to sleep under for the rest of the night.
People may say that I'm just young and immature...but I think I will always act this way and do things like this. Getting older isn't going to change anything. It's too much fun!

Tired Team and Shoping Spree

Our team was reunited after a month of being separated. After a hefty meeting and filling our tummys Mr. Evans let us loose.It was really late and we were all pretty crazy. We had some fun with the timer on the camera.

So after seeing my closet you would think that I have enough cloths...but that's never true:-) This is for my sisters. I just bought a new swim suit for $10 at down east outfitters. I was explaining it to Morgan and she didn't understand so here it is. I am pretty excited about it. If you look at the coloring the yellow fades a little bit as it goes down. But anyways I was excited so here it is.

A year half full...not halfway done.

The realization sunk in this last week that my year serving the state FFA organization has reached it's half way mark. I can't believe it. But this has been the best thing I have ever done. I have told everyone story after story of my state office experiences now I would like to illustrate those stories. These are random pictures of my crazy summer with my new found family... my team. From playing cards on the mountain pass to presenting to hundreds of kids at COLT, or we've made memories. I never realized how much my team would come to mean to me. Guys what am I going to do when this all ends. I was talking to someone today about state convention and I kind of got cholked up. I was able to go to snow college yesterday and I was taken back. There were so many people there, 1600 students. I couldn't believe that I was representing all of these students... wow I felt a little overwelmed and realized I had so much more work to do before I finish this year up. But All of the work I have put in the last six months was paid off as I walked around and had students running up to talk to me about their next activity...or how their life was going. People would see the six of us state officers and I would hear them say, "hey look it's the state officers!" I love all of them. People here at school wonder why I am still involved in the FFA since I am in college. If only they knew...
Now I'm off on my next adventure....National Convention...I CAN'T WAIT!!! Indiana here I come.

College Life!!!

Welcome to my crazy life at college. So I'm liking this blogging because I remember to take pictures of everything I am doing so I can put it on my blog. Well here is what you get when you let Brittney loose at college. The picture of the car was one of my first few weeks here at school. That is Helen she is one of my new found friends...you thought I was blond ha ha well Helen is naturally blonder than I am! Can you imagine? Logan better watch out when we are out together. We were going to play games after ward prayer one Sunday and Miss. Helen drove right into the ditch. Luckily we have some amazing guys in our ward that have big trucks to pull her out.

Lets see what else do we have here. Helen and our other partner in crime Mary went to the game together the other night. I think we had more fun taking pictures than we did actually watching the game. We ended up leaving after half to go home and cook dinner.... Oh but don't worry our fun didn't stop there. We were off and "chalking" before the night was up. Two unsuspecting houses of guys in our ward woke up to a driveway full of "dead bodies". But shhhh don't tell them it was us...they don't know who did it yet. Wow it was so much fun! Mary and Hellen have made my life exciting lately.

When I went to the game I was also lucky enough to see Courtnie there and we sat by her and her roomate!

Well there you have it thats my life!
